Call for Papers

If you wish to present a paper you must submit a 300 word abstract (described below) to iigrsuk(at)googlemail(dot)com by 15 of July, 2009. You will be notified about the outcome of your application no later than the 20th July. If you need to organise your funding before the end of the academic year, you should submit your abstract as soon as possible, and mention that you need it to be adjudged promptly. In this case, provided you submit your abstract before the end of May, we will inform you of our decision by 10 June at the latest.

Content of Your Abstract:

Abstracts should not exceed 300 words and should include:

1) Your name and institution, together with your status as a postgraduate student. If you have recently completed your post-graduate studies you should indicate this and provide details of your previous institution.

2) the title of your paper;

3) a broad indication of its subject area;

4) background and an outline of its contents.

Ideally, you should save your abstract in PDF format.

Subjects:

The subject matter of your paper may be any Classical Indological topic, provided it is based on primary sources studied in the original language. This includes, but is not co-extensive with, studies that use manuscript work / text-critical methods. See FAQ for more information.

Presentation:

If your abstract is accepted, you will be allotted a slot of no more than thirty minutes, around twenty minutes of which should be devoted to delivering your paper, and ten minutes for questions and discussion.
